Intro Writing Workshop
This workshop is taught by LAWC's Producing Artistic Director, Che'Rae Adams.
She is a dramaturg and director who has taught writing workshops at Hussian College, UCLA Extension, Catholic University, Maimi Dade College, The LA Women's Theatre Festival, The Directors Lab West, The Susan McIntrye Playwrights Festival, among others.
This class is designed to introduce writers who have not studied with LAWC before, to our method of creating good stories. Using a combination of lecture and workshop, each class starts with a lesson in the fundamentals of story followed by a writing exercise. The second half of class is then spent reading 10 new pages (or less) of each project in order to receive feedback from the instructor.
