Our Teaching Artists

Picture
Che’Rae Adams  has been a Teaching Artist for many years, starting in 2004 with the LA Women’s Theatre Festival where she taught writing workshops to kids of all ages in partnership with the California African American Museum. She has also worked with the Pasadena Playhouse, where she went into schools and discussed with the kids what they saw on the main-stage, and then conducted writing workshops with them. She has also worked with at-risk and homeless young adults at Hollywood Arts, which offers classes in the performing and visual arts which inspire and help develop self-esteem and critical life skills that allow them to transition into productive lives. Che’Rae has an MFA in Directing from the University of Cincinnati, College Conservatory of Music and a BA in Theater from California State University, Northridge.
